Division Objectives
The main objectives of the Dietetics service are as follows:
  1. To provide effective and efficient outpatient and inpatient quality health care within an interdisciplinary framework.
  2. To promote mother and child health with regard to nutrition.
  3. To assist in providing nutritionally adequate, culturally acceptable and hygienically safe food to all inpatients.
Method of service provided:
 
The Nutritional Care process is a systematic problem-solving method that food and nutrition professionals use to think critically and make decisions that address practice-related problems. This systematic approach is followed in providing high-quality nutrition care.
The Nutrition Care Process consists of distinct, interrelated steps:
 
  1. Nutrition Assessment
  2. Diagnosis
  3. Intervention
  4. Monitoring/Evaluation

NB: For ICU Visitors ONLY, Maximum 6 people per patient, These must be the same people seeing the patient everyday until the patient is discharged.
